My dad was Brian Knox known to every one as Knocker,He was suddenly taken from us on the 11th of october 2007 when he collapsed in Rochdale town centre ,he was 64 years old. he had some kind of Heart disease that he didnt know about which made him have a heart attack. He had lived in Castleton most of his life and was married to my mum Jackie for almost 44 years.he worked at Bridges for about 24 years before becoming the Head Caretaker at Balderstone high school were he had worked for nearly 25 years. I am his eldest daughter Bev and my brothers & sisters are Jacki,Pam,Andy Lorraine & Dave. he was the best Grandad in the world to Donna,Kirsty,Shanayde, ( who was born on his birthday)Rebecca,Rachel, ( who was also born on his birthday)Laura,Jaydn,Thomas,Bradly & Olivia, He doted on his Great - Grandchildren Holly Rhys,Brandon,Liam,Devon,Mason,Bailey,Mica & Corey. He was a very hard working man who would do anything for anybody,he was one of those people who just couldnt sit down as there was always a job or something to be done.He lived for his family and was quite a character in our village Everybody knew him, he always wore his caps and loved a bottle of Guinness now and again (Ha) . He had a huge collection of caps and Guinness memorabillia and also collected pin badges,He was a funny man and made us all laugh with his silly dances,like playing his air Guitar to Status Quo`s' Rockin all over the world' and his favourite was dancing round the block singing Zippa de do dah with anyone who wanted to join in. He was also a very emotional man and very proud. He is going to be greatly missed by all his family and everyone that knew him. I cant believe he`s not here anymore . I love you Dad and i know you Will be watching over us all, try not to sup the bottles of Guinness to fast in Heaven and i hope you have found everyone up there who you know especially youre Mum and Dad, if you bump into Pete Hartley behave yourselves and if you see Gill Burton give her a hug from me ok.Goodbye Daddy i will miss you always .xxx

well another year gone brian. we had a good xmas. but iv had a rubbish new year not been out . bet u n pete had a better time up there. first time i not been out on new years eve . went to our jackies other nite had a laugh dint get home till 4 30 in morn.miss u loads all my love xx jackie xx

Hi Dad, Just wanted to let you know we dropped Jaydn off at Army College yesterday to become a young soldier we met his major and captain they seemed really nice all the boys looked really young the camp seemed really good and what they will be doing over the next few weeks seemed very exciting the hardest part was having to leave him there, I think it hit him that this was it now and he would be on his own with no family and no mobile phone ha . I didnt cry as i didnt want him to see me upset i will do that on my own. I am sooo proud of him dad and i know you would have been if you were here any way keep youre eye on him for me . miss and love you loads . xxxxx

FOR RICHES HE DIDN`T THIRST
HE LOVED HIS FAMILY VERY MUCH
HE ALWAYS PUT THEM FIRST
HE NEVER HAD MUCH MONEY
( UNLESS HE HID IT IN HIS SHOE)
HIS LIFE WAS NEVER A SHOW
HE WILL ALWAYS BE THE RICHEST MAN
